Where is the closest public boat ramp? Now 2 blocks away at Carova Beach Park (very
shallow) The closest public boat ramp is located at the Whalehead Club in Corolla,
open from sunrise until dusk. Due to shallow water and grass, this ramp is suitable
for small craft only. Pirate's Cove Marina in Manteo is suited for larger water
craft.
Where is the closest grocery store? Food Lion is located in Corolla. Harris Teeter
serves the gourmet palate just south of Corolla on Rte. 12. From Carova Heights,
figure on a half hour drive.
